This December 2009, Second City is going to be celebrating it's 50th Anniversary. As part of the slate of shows, panels, and activities, there is going to be a reunion of the cast of SCTV. Animax Entertainment's Dave Thomas will be live on stage along with appearances by Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, Harold Ramis, and Martin Short. Strange Brew turns 25 today - in the US at least. The film was released on August 26, 1983. For those of you living under a rock, The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew starred the SCTV characters Bob & Doug McKenzie, played by Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis, who also served as co-directors.
