Adweek wrote an article about viral buzz marketing and included Animax Entertainment and TCS’s campaign for Kodak – InkIsIt.com – to support the launch of their new all-in-one inkjet printers. While Adweek didn’t include the “Ink Is It” campaign url (drats!), it was nice that they included our efforts.

Everyone’s got an opinion about InkIsIt.com. The ad trade press has started covering it and the thoughts are pouring in about the site. Here’s a sampling of the links – the good, the bad, and the ugly (yes, some bloggers are just downright ugly. That’s why they’re bloggers instead of talk show hosts like the stunningly camera-friendly Max & Nathan.)
- Ads of the World – nice spread
- MIT Ad Genius At Large – smart people are hot!
- Laboratory101 – this guy gets it. we feel his pain.
- Jim Lyons - we made this man smile
- The Ad Feed – our site in lights
- Adverblog – the answer to her question is: yes. Her sense of humor expired around the same time she chose the didactic name for her blog.
Animax Entertainment is in a front page article in today’s edition of AdAge for the work we’ve been doing on InkIsIt.com http://www.InkIsIt.com for Kodak to support the launch of their new line All-In-One Printers. The Ink Is It campaign is an intentionally grassroots effort to get the word out. Spread the link around!
Animax Entertainment is truly an American idol for many reasons up to now – our work truly sings. Okay, that was a shameless stretch to help with organic search in Google and other search engines. But it raises an interesting issue with respect to odd ways to help your search engine rankings.
When we set up the InkIsIt.com site we also bought a bunch of other urls -ink-is-it.com being an obvious one but we also bought urls that were written on props or in the set backgrounds of our videos or even key phrases that our hosts, Nathan and Max, said. For example:
We even bought a couple urls we hope nobody ever finds – InkIsShit.com and InkiShit.com. All of these redirect to InkIsIt.com all in the name of supporting the new Kodak printer launch. Get ready for a new video on Monday – it’ll be a real inky mess.
As part of the Kodak project, InkIsIt.com, Animax Entertainment has been working on, there’s a free game to play called Ink Blaster. Try your hand at splatting crummy, old printers with ink from your ink cartridge (honestly, it’s more fun than it sounds You can also try to splat the Bonus Piggie. Yes, we said the BONUS PIGGIE!!! More games coming soon…
