ANIMAX was just asked by the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation to create a DVD version of the award-winning website Coping with Chemo that we created for them last year.
We're also creating a series of websites to help kids understand a range of health related issues including sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis, kidney failure, what an IV is for, and a few other topics. We've actually been doing a lot of health industry work where we use animation to help communicate difficult subject matter in a more palatable way for children and adults.

Okay, maybe that's a bit much, but we have to thank KCRW for one of our favorite clients, SL-Tech. SL-Tech offers a range of solutions for school districts and cafeteria systems as well as for families with kids in school.
After hearing a profile about them on NPR's All Things Considered, we picked up the phone and cold called them. That one call spiraled into us helping SL-Tech reconnect with their business and consumer client base in several new ways, from a wholesale identity campaign to marketing collateral production to character animation to a pending redesign of their website (due in January).
We must give props to Dale Carnegie for their cold calling class - cold calling is evil. It's ugly and dehumanizing and usually a waste of time. Until you happen upon a gem.
Thanks Dale. You're swell.
