Animax Entertainment http://www.animaxent.com, an Emmy winning digital production studio based in Los Angeles, needs several full-time Flash ActionScript programmers and Game Developers. This is a coder / programmer position. You'll be working on cutting edge entertainment related rich internet applications:
* single and multiplayer online games
* virtual worlds and mmogs
* interactive marketing applications
* video players
* facebook apps and social widgets
You should be conversant in AS 2 and ideally have some experience with AS 3 and an interest in Adobe AIR. Ideally you have a Computer Science degree / OOP background.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of professional experience in developing Internet applications and Flash based games utilizing Flash, PHP, and XML
* 3+ years of development experience with Adobe Flash; experience with multi-user environments preferred - Electroserver, Smart Fox, Red5, media server, etc.
* Experience with source version control software and use of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
* Experience with Adobe Flex and Papervision a plus.
* Strong understanding of software development life cycle.

The Tuttles Family Game we produced for Starlight Starbright along with Legacy Interactive just won an Excellent Product Award in the 2008 iParenting Media Awards. We were also involved in another iParenting Media Award winning product, but we have to keep that a secret.
Animax Entertainment just won a Summit Creative Award for the animated mashup tool we created for Matrixx and Dippin Dots - the ice cream of the future. The tool let users create their very own animated movie from scratch featuring Packy as part of a (now over) contest.

This Wednesday at 7:00pm, April 30th meet Animax folks at The One Plus Hub Flash event. We'll be there along with other LA based animation studios that focus on Flash animation doing a panel and then meeting and greeting and likely drinking. It's free and it's at the legendary Formosa Café (2nd floor patio) at 7156 Santa Monica Blvd.
