I, Pineapple
April 29th, 2012Animax is pleased to release our first of several upcoming webisode shorts through Mondo Media. The first short “I, Pineapple,” is live tonight on Mondo Media’s Youtube channel.
“I, Pineapple” is a mundane video manifesto from the strange, sheltered life of one awkward, depressed pineapple. In this first episode, Pineapple talks calisthenics, laments soap-pieces and shares the benefits of going “full ball!”

Community Returns to NBC Tonight!
March 15th, 2012Tonight the long-awaited return of the hit NBC TV show “Community” airs at 8/7 c. Animax Entertainment designed and animated and the series of webisodes for Sony.you can watch them on Hulu, Hulu Plus, YouTube, and the NBC website. This three part series, titled “Abed’s Master Key” features animated versions and voices of the “Community” cast and was animated in Adobe Flash and edited in Adobe Premiere.
Yvette Nicole Brown, the actress who plays Shirley from Community, even made her animated characacher her new Twitter icon.
Animax also placed lots of fun easter eggs throughout the three webisodes including our banana peel logo, Dan Harmon’s writing circles and a few nods to Jim Rash’s recent Oscar win and Angelina Jolie’s leg pose. Can you guys find them all? We will post the answers next week!

February 9th, 2012The new site for Whole Foods Market, built by Animax, as a part of Omelet’s “Love Local” marketing campaign for Whole Foods Market Southern Pacific Region, just launched with the message “whole foods love local” (http://wholefoodslovelocal.com/). The blog driven site emphasizes the company’s focus on natural and organic products and features stories and videos about local farmers who actually grow the food, focusing on their love and passion for what they do. There’s also a new web series launching featuring a fun love story set in Whole Foods aisles.

January 10th, 2012Michael Bellavia is heading to CES to speak during one of the International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV) track sessions – “Shooting for Success: Best Production Practices For Your Web Series.” He’s representing the PGA and Animax along with reps from WGA and SAG. Here’s the panel description:
While a lot of basic set practices apply to web series, sometimes smaller budgets and quick turn-around times led to cutting corners and safety concerns. Such doesn’t need to be the case and this panel will help! Topics will include working with Unions (SAG, PGA, WGA) and how to stretch your dollars so the cast and crew will want to work with you again and again.

Tilt your iPhone, iPad or iTouch back and forth to help the Beanie Ballz bounce past the Monstaz and collect Ty hearts along the way. The fun and family friendly mobile app is only 99 cents (a cheap Christmas gift) and features cute animals and monsters and easy access to buy the toys too.
The Case Crusaders
October 13th, 2011Working with our sister company, Helpsgood, we concepted and produced an animated video series for Healthy Lifestyle Choices and their new Behavioral-Health Curriculum for children. The videos highlight positive ways for kids to set and accomplish goals, eating healthy, decision making and positive expression. The webisodes also introduce the new faces of Healthy Lifestyle Choices: The Case Crusaders. The Crusaders are actually the school trophies who come to life and help students solve problems. Check out the videos and the activities.
